What Lies Within Those Angels With The Broken Wings?

Somehow we all recognize an angel with a broken wing. They are disguised as kind, gentle, sensitive, honest, caring and compassionate people... maybe your friend or partner, or maybe it's you! These people are special, and everyone whose lives they touch recognizes that something is subtly different. What caused the differences in the Angels with broken wings that you know?

They are tortured souls whose lives have been touched by the trauma or tragedy of loss, or being hated, or bullied; their soul is bruised so deeply that time has not been able to mend the breaks. Therein was born the compassion they are so noted for. It was born in the pain of rejection and utter despair. They understand your pain and can truly empathize with your feelings of hopelessness. They have lived with that companion for a long, long time.

These people are typically very intuitive; they have learned to trust their own inner guidance in the absence of any friends or people who have not betrayed their trust.

They are slow to trust and slow to anger. Life has taught them to accept rejection and most of the events that typically anger others. Their lack of expectation of excitement and joy allows them to live in a neutral existence of anesthetized emotions. Their real emotions are understandably hidden well beneath the veil of protection they have crafted to endure the bumpy ride of life.

They become the greatest champions for the underdogs and work tirelessly for justice for others. In fact, they recognize injustice from a great distance, having existed in a world encompassed in it for far too long to forget, ever.

Like Chiron, they are the wounded healers among us. They are notoriously generous; truly the ones who will give you the shirt off their back. They are the true friend that shows up no matter what the hour without questioning your right to ask them to. They are effectively, the best of the best friends.

If you have gained their trust and then betray them, reject them or degrade them, expect to be immediately removed from their lives. They have an uncanny ability to know when this has happened and have endured so many losses in their life they are no longer reluctant to let go. Sadly, they are frequently forgotten or misunderstood. They demand almost nothing from others and live a life of giving rather than taking, making their absence sometimes overlooked.
