Why We Fall In Love
Many people believe that humans fall in love purely because it is a law of Physics.
Everything comes in pairs, two of everything. Is it possible that this age-old simple law is indeed behind everything? Scientists tell us that we cannot escape these laws that create our world. But is that the only truth? Is there more? Is there a reason for that yearning that cannot be quelled, for the search that must be completed to find the missing part of you, to complete you?
Physics is an explanation that helps us to understand the world we live in and how it came to be, how it operates. These are the "Rules of Physics." Indeed they are rules and are proven. But what about us; what about the human factor of feelings, of falling in love? Is this real?
In our lives, Physics can be considered to play the part of the roads, the rivers and oceans, all the things necessary to inhabit a planet successfully. Love goes beyond this; it is the sounds of the a baby's giggle, birds singing, the beautiful flowers that lift gently in the breeze, the sound of small animals searching for their mothers, the smell of new-mown grass, trees that sustain life... love is the color that fills the pages of life.
As necessary as the very air that we breathe, the pursuit of love is instinctive and vital. It causes our soul to feel empty until the union it has been searching for is completed. Is it possible that this is the real explanation? Of course; our higher self, the Creator within all of us, remembers the dreams and the promises of fulfillment we carried into this lifetime. Even though we may forget consciously, that part of us never will. And so, the search begins.
Unconsciously, we are searching for a scent, a word, a phrase or some tiny hint that will reach our very soul and remind us that this, this, is the one we have been searching for. And all of this happens without any assistance from our brain. It is the innate, the smart body that surrounds us, that knows precisely who you are seeking. This part of us remembers the plan and the promise.
It is a specific search; our life partners are predestined, a part of our life plan. Even if it makes no sense whatsoever to you that you have fallen for someone almost instantly, it makes perfect sense at that higher level. It was the cause of the search. When we begin this process, at a higher level, we know precisely who we expect to find and are somehow guided right into the opportunity for two souls to connect and merge; exactly as had been planned.
Why do we fall in love? Because it was the gift of joy, companionship and fulfillment that was promised as we agreed to engage in yet another life journey. Once joined, the search is over.
