The Commanding Wand

The sad and unfortunate truth about the subconscious mind is that it does not know when we are kidding. You may say things that really are intended to assuage someone else's situation, to make them feel better, knowing consciously it is not true, only to discover that very quickly, it has become the truth.

The spoken word has enormous power; it is the command center of the subconscious mind. It files your words away in its memory bank and then immediately begins fishing in the universal ocean to deliver what you spoke as truth.

It is the universe's good pleasure to deliver to us what we really desire.

How does it take your order? It listens to your words, accepts the order and processes and delivers it. Here's the twist; your words were thoughts before they became a spoken word. If we retrace the tracks of our tears from the misery and grief we have manifested we arrive right back at the central command center in life; "As a man thinkith, so is he."

You had to be willing to listen or in some other way discover the very thing you hoped not to attract, accept it as you thought about it and then speak the words; and so it is. Your wishes have been fulfilled! The universe has delivered.

Where in the world does this begin? Probably back, back, to the time when you associated with people who had a completely different reality, tried to save someone who was intent on self destructing or some other situation that allowed these negative and incorrect ideas to enter your conscious mind. They take hold when you accept them as truth. That is why it is so important to carefully select the people you surround yourself with.

Don't associate with people who do not have like spiritual foundations, goals or desires. You cannot walk in a path filled with light if you continue to associate with people who exist in the dark. They have made a conscious choice to walk in the dark. When you join them, you have veered off your chosen path and joined them in the darkness. 'Be not deceived... '

Like it or not, you have made a conscious choice to walk in darkness when you join them. If this has occurred because you think you 'really love' that person, it is a good time to examine why and how that occurred. You can love someone and hate what they do, but if you continue to associate with them, you become one with their ideas.

Most are familiar with the bible passage, "As a man thinkith in his heart, so is he; but the actual verse is far more. It is a warning about the association with evil.

Eat thou not the bread of him that hath an evil eye, neither desire thou his dainty meats:

For as he thinkith in his heart, so is he:

Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.

The morsel which thou hast eaten shalt thou vomit up, and lose thy sweet words.

The bible provides many passages that deal with the effects of karma, or responsibility for our choices. This is the modern interpretation.

Mind is the Master power that moulds and makes,

And Man is Mind, and evermore he takes

The tool of Thought, and, shaping what he wills,

Brings forth a thousand joys, a thousand ills: -

He thinks in secret, and it comes to pass:

Environment is but his looking-glass.

Don't delude yourself into imagining that this does not mean you; that you are too tough, too strong or a person of far too much spiritual training to be suckered into this. You are not. This is written for all of us heed the warning.

I used to believe that evil did not exist. I was so enmeshed in the idea that things do not exist unless we accept them and believe in them, I simply did not accept the concept of evil. For me, it did not exist.

Unfortunately, that was my old friend's denial and delusion escorting me on the path of good intentions that pave the way to hell. It is real; it exists and is so powerful the bible constantly warns us about it. You unleash the hounds of hell into your life path when you blithely ignore the fact that it exists and proceed to save someone intent on walking that path. It is their choice; you better make a better one.

When evil is on the horizon, let go and let your God deal with it. It is bigger and tougher than you can ever become. Get off the path where evil dwells and save yourself from the assured heartache, grief and pain that are surely planted along that path.

We are not charged with the responsibility of defeating evil; we are charged with the responsibility of avoiding it.

Get to higher ground, take the high road. Or, if it suits you better, get in the flow of life and go higher and higher! How do we do this in today's world?

I think it is about integrity.

That is a huge word. My children used to question me about what that means when I told them to "do all things with integrity." I told them, "It means playing a heads up ballgame even when you know you can get away with cheating; even if it means you lose that game when you could have won it."

Live your life in integrity with all things.

It is the same for adults, it means taking the high road, choosing to do the right thing because it is the right thing and allowing forces greater than us to put the chips that fall into their proper place. Again, we are back to letting go of the attachment to the outcome.

When we learn to truly love ourselves we will be very careful about the energy, or the people, that we permit to invade our aura and certainly, to take root in our thoughts where they become our reality.
