The Human Destroyer Losing the Conscience of the Soul

Most people are familiar with the human destroyer; mainly because their behavior is so dramatically heinous that it can't be ignored. Currently the eyes of the world are focused on the leaders of North Korea and Syria for that very reason. You may not know a human destroyer that is so extreme, but it is not uncommon to have been involved with or know a story about one. They are far more common in society than they ever should have become.

The human destroyer frequently pops up in conversations about bosses, step parents or stories about abusive behavior that has altered the course of someone's life. Their traits are the same. They are mockingly cruel, have no ability to feel empathy or compassion; their behavior is frequently controlling and manipulating and many times they exhibit a passive/aggressive personality. Sounds like the friend or partner no one is searching for! If they are in your life they probably arrived without a personal invitation. Almost no one is looking for this kind of company.

There are mental illnesses like the Sociopath and Psychopath who are far enough across the line of normalcy to have been diagnosed and entered into the record. There are far more who have not quite crossed the line or been forced to seek help. These are the human destroyers we encounter in our everyday lives. How does any person become so far removed from the goodness we are all capable of exhibiting?

The soul is the God force within every human, incapable of any of these behavior patterns. They are diametrically opposed to the behavior of the soul. The conscience of mankind is contained in the soul. This is the still small voice that always rises to remind you of what the right action is. Many people routinely ignore the small things, opting to go with the flow or make a different choice. The human destroyer has opted to ignore the promptings completely. They have sealed the voice of conscience in a tomb by their refusal to hear or heed it. Their actions frequently cross over into pure evil through their disconnection of their conscience. They imagine they are the supreme ruler of their world and bear no responsibility for their actions. Hence their heinous acts that places them into the memories of all who have knowledge of them or have come into contact with them. The nightly news that causes us to gasp in horror usually contains an image of the destroyer. The cannibals, the kidnappers who have imprisoned people for years, senseless murderers who take the lives of innocent strangers... lately our world feels like it is getting crowded with these kinds of people.

Human destroyers are born not of a soulless individual; for this is impossible, the soul also contains the life force. They are born through a process that has permitted them to move through life with no accountability for their actions, no responsibility and no consequences have been applied to halt their progression. It is the same successful formula that creates the psychopath. The narcissist tendencies are in place, a sense of superiority, the lack of empathy and compassion, the idea that only their own needs and desires are important have all served to create the destroyer. Long, long ago they sealed the door to their conscience. They have a complete disconnect with their soul.

If you are in any kind of relationship with the destroyer you should understand that no effective cure exits for this behavior pattern. The only deterrent is consequences for their actions. They exact a high price, many times your life, for the pleasure of their company. The destroyer eaves a trail of crushed dreams and broken people in their path, barely noticing the damage they have wrought. Certainly they don't care even if they do notice. Your best option is to save yourself by escaping while you still have the opportunity. Their actions are like the river that never stops flowing. Everyone they touch touches another and pulls them into the mired abyss. Nothing has meaning to them until you give it meaning. Loosen their hold of brokenness on your life and give meaning to what will serve you; saving your own life and sanity. It's not enough to know what they are; it's how you apply what you know that will save you.
